Oops… That Wasn’t the Way.
As some of you may already know, since finishing my studies, I’ve been focused on independent learning and building my own project. What started with great enthusiasm—the idea of creating a marketplace for digital resources—ended up turning into freelance graphic and 3D design work. And even though I tackled every project with excitement and dedication… that wasn’t the way.
Little by little, that initial spark started fading, and the goal became unclear. Maybe because from the start, my goal was to enjoy the journey, and that just wasn’t happening anymore. And no, I don’t think it’s realistic to expect to be ultra-motivated about work every single day. As the gym has taught me, discipline is what truly matters in long-term journeys.
That being said, I believe knowing when to call a project finished is a victory in itself. And even though things didn’t turn out exactly as I had hoped, I don’t see these past few years as a failure. Fortunately, I’ve learned a lot, and I’m taking many valuable things with me:
- 3D knowledge that I hope will be useful in my next adventure.
- A deep appreciation for the work of companies and independent professionals.
- Marketing insights that go beyond just numbers and metrics.
- And most importantly, self-awareness.
So today, I want to share some exciting news about my career. I’m making a shift and diving back into the world of UX design—something that has always fascinated me, maybe even more than I realized (but that’s a story for another day). To make it happen, I’m currently taking the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, and I can’t wait to put everything I’m learning into practice and share the journey with you all.
Let’s see what the future holds!
