From Soloist to Orchestra Conductor: The Revolution of Individual Work
A lot has changed in how I systematize my work. In the past few weeks, I’ve gone from building my portfolio alone to working with a wonderful team. Who would have thought!
As some of you already know, my professional shift has brought a complete revolution to my portfolio—meaning tons of updates and work to do.
Luckily, I’m collaborating with real companies and learning a lot along the way. But do you know what I truly miss? Working in a team!
Even though I’m an introvert who enjoys moments of solitude, in product design, collaboration is essential!
I miss brainstorming with colleagues.
I miss having someone challenge my ideas.
I miss those moments when a teammate helps me see things from a fresh perspective.
I miss discussing different viewpoints with others to avoid biases and misunderstandings.
But I’m not letting this stop me... And while I wait for the chance to collaborate with a real team, I’ve built an alternative one with AI!
It all started a few weeks ago during a mentorship session with Esteban Díaz Díaz (huge thanks to him!). He suggested that I split my queries into three separate prompts in ChatGPT to avoid hallucinations—you know, when AI starts making things up 😅. I thought it was a brilliant idea, and after testing it, I asked myself:
What if I take it a step further?
What if I ask the same prompt to three different AI models?
So, I tried it with ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude… and the results were mind-blowing!
While AI doesn’t fully replace human colleagues, it does bring a variety of perspectives that I wouldn’t have otherwise. And the experience is much less artificial than it might seem at first—each AI has its own "personality," and working with them requires team management skills to get the best out of each one.
- Gemini is proactive, always suggesting new ideas and next steps. It lacks a bit of depth in reasoning and "hallucinates" more than the others, but it’s great at spotting new opportunities.
- ChatGPT is the one who grounds ideas, turning complex concepts into simple explanations. It’s the wordsmith of the group, responsible for crafting the final reports from our "team meetings."
- Claude is my right-hand AI—its reasoning is well-structured and logically ordered. It values not just gathering information but also presenting and planning it in a way that aligns with my own approach, making us a perfect match.
Not gonna lie… I’m really proud of my team and how we work together! And we’re even considering adding a new member 🫣 Perplexity!
But jokes and metaphors aside, I truly see these tools as a huge opportunity. Not just for seasoned professionals who already have human teams and can now complement them with AI, but also for those of us who are trying to break into the industry—for those who may have felt alone in the process, surrounded by doubts that come with working independently.
Because at the end of the day, this technology is here to lend us a hand and help us go further.
Technology is not just transforming how we work—it’s also changing how we collaborate and grow professionally. My experience with this virtual team has shown me that innovation often comes from daring to think differently—think different. ✨
Whether you’re just starting your career or already an experienced professional, the possibilities are endless when you combine creativity and technology.
Now, I’d love to hear from you:
Have you experimented with virtual teams like this? What AI tools do you use in your daily work? Do you think this type of collaboration could revolutionize how we work independently?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and learn from you! 🚀
💌 P.S.: And yes, in case you’re wondering—the "team" helped with this post! But since I genuinely enjoy writing, beyond just helping me structure my ideas, this is still very much a 💮 handcrafted piece.
No, I haven’t changed my career goals again, and no, I haven’t picked up my old oil painting hobby (…)
’ll never forget the day—back in 2010—when my high school technology teacher hit me with this mind-blowing statement (…)
As some of you may already know, since finishing my studies, I’ve been focused on independent learning and building my own project …
